I meant to say say the clearing out of enemies/opening of chests of an area. It isn't restriced to chests.

I got a place I got 4 sups runes and with full henches. The drops are better with more henches I brought(weird)

Odd, trolls don't drop rares for me. I was bored (beat game 3 times now with 3 chars, almost all skills unlocked), so I decided to bring my N/Mo to the troll cave and see what he could do. Ok, so I've made 100k in a few days of doing it back and forth between that and Griffons, however, this is just by selling all the crappy items I get. No rares at all. I think my account is flagged for "No Rares fer JOO!!".

I personally like getting as few henchies as I can, or a couple of guildmates, and stuff the quests for a while, lets just go on a romp around the countryside and investigate/explore. I've only been playing a little while, and am only level 14 elementalist, but i had more fun going and exploring the whole area in regent valley and around fort ranik (presearing and aftersearing) than worrying about what I got. It makes it fun when I got my first rune recovery too, which happened the other night

Just curious, why do you guys do it?

I know of one good farming spot, I ran through it thrice, found a ton of loot - and got bored.
What do you guys need the gold for that makes you stand the tedium?

15k armor is very expensive. Too expensive to attain through regular questing.

does the amount of people in your party effect the amount of drops? I know that it effects your xp.

The amount of people does not effect the amount of drops, it does effect how many drops you, yourself get, but not the total drop rate. I do not know if it effects the value of drops, though.
